To Ret. Judge Antonina Escovilla– ” Sensei Konnichiwa! We really thank you for your efforts in the school. Without your leadership, your talent and skills, the school wouldn’t be where it is today. It is because of your leadership that the school is headed to such a bright future. We really thank you for that. Happy World Teacher’s Day!” – Message from PNJK- IS Students

IREISAI 2024

By Admin

The celebration of Ireisai was solemnly held last August 16, 2024, at the Mintal Public Cemetery with various local and abroad officials in attendance. It was an inspiring moment to hear the memorial message from the City Mayor Honorable Sebastian Z. Duterte read by Barangay Captain Rey Amador Bargamento. On this occasion, we were privileged to have the Hon. Senator Shiomura Ayaka, who came from Japan to show her condolence to the Japanese migrants who came in 1903. PNJK is likewise honored to have with us Mr. Hisashi Shiroma & Mr. Motoki Matsuoka of the Okinawa Prefectural Government Executive Office of the Governor Peace and Subnational Diplomacy Promotion Division, accompanied by Mr. Michiharu Honda of the Nansei Shoto Industrial Advancement Center.

The holding of this annual Ireisai would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Consulate General Office of Japan in Davao led by Honorable Consul General Yoshihisa Ishikawa with his wife Madam Cherry Pie Ishikawa. Around was the Deputy Consul General Inoue Junya. We are so grateful to our friends from the Japanese Community who have been participating in the annual Ireisai for so many years – we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. PNJK Inc. is pleased to see the cooperation from its sister companies the PNJK-IS and MKD who have been with us during that occasion despite the holiday season and of course the members of the Board Pinky, Anita, and Carmen. Thank you for your presence and to Mrs. Carmen Apigo kudos to the preparation at PNJK School of Calinan with the assistance of the limited staff. Special thanks to the majority of the war-displaced descendants whose ages range from over 90, 80, and 70 with their young generations for your sacrifice in attending the Ireisai making one soul happy your hero Mr. Norihiro Inomata who is a great help in the program of identity recognition of the majority of our stateless members. Of course, we do appreciate the assistance extended by the Barangay Mintal and the City Economic Enterprise. We have successfully celebrated the occasion due to the support extended. May the good Lord bless us all!!!
